GILBERT MUSINGS: Art Collected ...is my personal blog, an insight into my brain to what I find interesting, unique, thought provoking, funny, warped and beautiful. All can be considered a visual eye-candy collection.

Tidbits from my art & culture Blogzine Art Nectar << (yea, you can click it to check it out) and my dabblings in photography and artwork are peppered throughout.

BROOKLYN

Driving on the Prospect Expressway through Brooklyn. I love NY!

Welcome to Brooklyn

Welcome to Brooklyn

All Along the Watchtower
Overlooking the the Brooklyn Bridge and New York Harbor, the “Clocktower” apartment is on the market for a cool $25 million, more than double the highest price known to have been paid for a home in Brooklyn. The 3,000-square-foot main floor of the sleek modern apartment is dominated by four working clocks housed in four 14-foot-high round windows, which provide nearly unobstructed views (except for the clock faces) out to the four points of the compass. It has an open living room, dining room and kitchen with 16-foot-high ceilings.
The thing about this building that they don’t tell you, is that it used to be the headquarters for the paper “The Watchtower’” owned by the Jehovah’s Witnesses. I used to see this building everyday as I went to work in the city. That big clock, time passing. I recently found out that after all these years they sold the building and were turning that highest floor with the clock, into an apartment. I always wondered what the inside looked like and YEY! now I can, and so can you!
You must click on the photo to see the rest of the pictures. The apartment is pure amazingness!!!
